Hi Glee,
Good to hear from you. Hope all is well. Christian is still talking about the Rodeo and wears his vest every chance he gets, we got a really cool belt for his buckle and he absolutely loves it. Thank you again for all you do our kids.
God Bless,Stephanie

Last year in 2008, my daughter, Kayla Kincaid was recipient of a Western Wish at the 2008 Rodeo Finals in Las Vegas. I can’t begin to tell you how that experience brought joy to our daughter and our family.
Recently, Kayla had a hip operation and is currently in a fully body cast. During her 12 week recovery, she enjoys looking at the pictures of her Western Wish experience and her signed hat. This has been a tremendous help in keeping her spirits up during this very boring convalescing time.
Families with children who have special needs like Kayla treasure experiences that Glee Nett has provided for them. They talk about this type of event for years to come.
Thank you for listening to our story. Happy New Year!Sincerely,
Robin Kincaid

Mr. Karl Stressman, Commissioner

Colorado Springs, Colorado 80919Dear Mr. Stressman,
I’m writing on behalf of my family, and specifically my son Christian. We recently attended the National Finals in Las Vegas where Christian was privileged to be a wish recipient of the Children’s Western Wish Foundation. I’d like to express our admiration of the unique, socially relevant and business savvy work the CWWF performs.
Christian is high-functioning autistic. As such, he has some limitations, but (happily) is a young man who is working and productive in our community and society. Our family worked hard toward this goal, though there were few external organizations or agencies that helped in any meaningful way.
The point I’d like to make is that CWWF is one of those few initiatives that does make a true difference, and on several levels: Christian has always been fascinated by what I’ll call the cowboy genre, and was nothing short of delighted with the Rodeo gifts, exposure, and notoriety afforded by the CWWF program. Also, Glee Nett’s attention to every detail and refreshingly personable approach allowed Christian to experience the event as part of the team and infrastructure, or actual “rodeo family.” This should not be underestimated. Not only will Christian be an avid supporter and spokesman for Pro Rodeo, so will his friends, co-workers, extended family and many of those they come in contact with. You could not achieve this kind of directed exposure through any paid advertising effort.
I want to thank you for making it possible for our son to have had this more than memorable experience. He will be a walking-talking endorsement, and personalize your brand and franchise – and reflecting your special needs support, much as your admirable breast cancer efforts. We applaud your continued partnership with CWWF and encourage expansion of like programs. Again, CWWF makes a real difference; it certainly has made a difference in Christian’s life.
Most Sincerely,
Stephanie Vrsnik

Dear Mr. Stressman,My name is Niki Armstrong and my brother, Christian, was a wish recipient of Glee Nett's Children's Western Wish Foundation. We attended the World National Rodeo Finals on December 9, 2009 as a family, thanks to the generous sponsorship of the CWWF. I'm writing this letter in support of this very special organization.
The CWWF makes it possible for people with special needs such as my brother to be exposed to the ideals and hard work of rodeo competitors. Growing up with autism, it was hard for my brother to find positive role models who believed in his success. Christian loves the western lifestyle -- he listens to cowboy music, sings cowboy karaoke, and dresses like a cowboy. Cowboys are his idols, and he tries to emulate their toughness and dedication to hard work. The overwhelming support of the rodeo competitors made it very clear that they believed that Christian was a worthy person, in spite of his disability, who could lead a successful life. That endorsement meant the world to my brother, and it would not have been possible without the sponsorship of the Children's Western Wish Foundation.
If your cowboy competitors are willing to accept and support special needs young men like Christian, then that should be reflected in the policies of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy's Association. As commissioner, I sincerely ask you to continue supporting the Children's Western Wish Foundation and the benefits it offers to a disadvantaged portion of our community. The difference you can make spans beyond days and months, and lasts years into the lives of individuals who need help finding role models who can help them believe in their own self-worth.
My brother Christian, and many like him, have successfully improved their lives in a way that echoes that of true cowboys: with spit and grit, and help from positive members of their communities. Your generous endorsement of the CWWF has truly had a great impact on his life. I hope that hearing the stories of young people with disabilities encourages you to continue to make them feel like a part of the rodeo family. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Niki Armstrong
2006 - Cheyenne Frontier Days
I had so much fun during Frontier Day's week that I don't know where to start on what was my favorite part of it all.
I know I thought it was awesome getting to greet the Thunderbirds when they landed in Cheyenne. Getting to meet all of them is something that I will never forget. Then to have them have me as their guest to see Billy Currington and Dierks Bentley. That was something that was not on my wish list but made my wish even more enjoyable.
I got to go to 3 rodeo's! My mom had never been to one either, so this was a first we both got to enjoy. My 2 favorite parts of the rodeo were the steer roping and getting to meet Punkintown the Rodeo Clown. I got a rope from Cody Ohl!!! I use it to try and practice roping. I'm not real good at it yet but I am getting there.
There are so many things that I got to do that in order for me to write about them all I will be here for a few more hours. I know I will never forget all the kindness and caring that everyone from Glee Nett to the cowboys showed me.
Thank you for everything you did to make my dreams come true.
Always, Daniel
