FOUNDER'S MESSAGE
A heartfelt message from our founder:
It is my belief, and therefore my wish, that The Children's Western Wish Foundation would not impose guidelines for any specific or certain type of affliction, disease or disability, or target any particular lifestyle. I believe our wish recipients are all special in every way. It is our desire and challenge to bring smiles to them and their immediate family members. Through the many thank you cards and letters, you can view on our Testimonial page, we believe we are meeting that objective.
For the many of you we have been blessed to work with, thank you, we are indeed so very blessed.
During this blessing I have often been asked why we sometimes grant wishes to adults and even the elderly, when our title suggests we work only with children. To us the answer is simple and is precisely why I chose to use the word "Children" is in our Title............ We Are truly, ALL Children of God.
I feel it an obligation not to, under any circumstances, set predetermined guidelines as to affliction, hardship, race, age, religion, or gender, thereby allowing us to grant many different individuals their wish. I feel this aspect sets us apart from many of the non-profit organizations who also do a great service in granting wishes.
Having been blessed to be a cowgirl, it seemed to me to be the right arena in which to grant wishes. We have a great and wonderful rodeo family who find great joy and satisfaction in sharing their lifestyle, their love, and who give unconditionally to those ends.
It is an every day occurrence for cowboys, but it is unfortunately not common in the world today, to see those who are competing for a jackpot win, or a world title assist another competitor, by loaning a horse, a hand, equipment, and always a prayer, so everyone has the best chance to ride and compete at the top of their ability. Now, how many other sports or aspects of today does life can you think of that are based on such support, and sharing, and genuine care for one another?
If after reading our mission statement, you agree with us or feel in some way we could serve more effectively, please let us know either way.

Heaven's Very Special Child
A meeting was held quite far from earth
"It's time again for another birth,"
Said the Anglels to the Lord above,
"This special child will need much love"
His progress may seem very slow
Accomplishments he may not show.
And he'll require extra care
From folks he meets way down there.
He may not run or laugh or play
His thoughts may seem quite far away,
In many ways he won't adapt
And he'll be known as handicapped.
So let's be careful where he's sent
We want his life to be content.
Please Lord, find the parents who
Will do a special job for you.
They will not realize right away
The leading role they're asked to play,
But with this child sent from above
Comes stronger faith and richer love.
And soom they'll know the privilage given
In caring for this gift from Heaven,
Their precous charge so meek and mild
"Is Heaven's very special child."Author Unknown
You all know that Logan and we his family got to go to the National Rodeo. Logan was given this rodeo from the Children's Wester Wish Foundation. When Glee came to my apartment we had a wonderful time getting to know each other. Being a cowgirl myself we had a lot in commen with each other. Anyway she normally sends this to the child and his parents after the rodeo, she showed it me and I wanted to share it with all of you. I loved going to the rodeo but I think I enjoyed getting to know Glee just as much. Anyway I hope you all enjoy this wonderful peom that is on the card from them.
Love you all, Snickers & Oreo
