2008 - NFR Finals

Las Vegas , Nevada

Wish Recipient - Kayla & Family; Logan & Family

Success again took place this year In Las Vegas at the Wrangler National Finals of Rodeo for 2008 being a wonderful repeat of past years We chose a young lady and a young man to be our wish recipients from the local area of Las Vegas.

Our local young lady was Kayla Kincaid, daughter of Robin and Craig Kincaid of Las Vegas, Nevada. Kayla is 16 years old and suffers from
Kabuki Syndrome. What a pleasant, smiling, and happy young lady Kayla is. As you can tell by her pictures, she is very active and polite girl, with an unprecedented degree of high manners.

Kayla attended the Wednesday night performance, December 10, 2008, as well as on Thursday night, December 11, 2008. Her parents accompanied her and the entire family have now become avid rodeo fans, not to mention an integral part of our extended rodeo family. Kayla looks very classy as she wore her beautiful shirt and flashing pink boots from RoperUSA, her jeans from Wrangler, and of course she loved her straw hat which was autographed by contestants of the 2008 Wrangler National Finals of Rodeo. Many other rodeo personnel also signed her hat. Mr. Michael Gaughn, owner of the South Point Hotel & Casino donated to each child, their very own embroidered vest with the 50th anniversary emblem of the WNFR. She was a princess of a cowgirl.

Kayla attends Arbor View High School and her hobbies include, but are not limited to, video games, horseback riding, shopping, bowling, swimming, and going to the movies. She may only have the height of 5', but she is so much taller in statue. Kayla's smile is contagious, not to mention how photogenic she is.

A young man by the name of Logan Meyers, 12 years old, from Henderson, Nevada, was our young male wish recipient. Logan is afflicted by several challenges. He attends Brown Middle School. His mother Kay and his immediate family accompanied him to all events. He attended the Wednesday night performance along with Kayla for their very "Special Event".

The Best Western jewelers and a national sponsor of the children's foundation, thus being Montana Silversmiths from Columbus, Montana, chose to honor these two young special children in the arena on their sponsor night by presenting to them, their very own engraved buckles from the 50th Anniversary of the WNFR. Mr. Dan __________, President of Montana Silversmiths along with _____________honored these children, so they now are our official latest children to have possession of a new wardrobe and a prestigious buckle to finalize their attire and memories of their rodeo wish.
