Wish Recipient - Beth & Family
Beth G. is a very cheerful, happy, young 24-year old woman with Downs' Syndrome. She swims, golfs, plays basketball, bowls, skiis & plays the piano. She loves to dance & attends dances 2 Fridays a month.
She goes to Body Sculpture twice a week & attends Curves once a week. She helps at her mom's work shredding papers, volunteers in the Early Childhood Program at Carlson Elementary School, works on Monday afternoons at Quiznos' in Evergreen & works in the After School Program at Carlson Thursday afternoons.
She attends the Lions' Club Camp & Rocky Mountain Village Camp every summer. She also has taken horseback riding lessons in the past.
Beth is always happy & smiling and is a joy to her family and her community.Maren said she thinks Beth is deserving of the Special Needs Rodeo Queen because she is always a pleasant, smiling supportive, friendly person. She is positive & makes us all smile every time we see her! If more people had Bethy's outlook on life what a wonderful world it would be!!!!!
Glee - Thank you so much for considering Bethy for this event. She will love it! My only concern is that she hasn't ridden a horse for several years. Are the horses gentle & would there be someone near her leading the horse or will she be completely on her own?
